Hello Hans,
Yes, PDF reDirect does work with Windows Terminal Services Server 2000 and 2003. However, it is important that it be installed as required by Microsoft to ensure that it will work for all of the remote users. Check the documentation that came with your Windows Server software, particularly the topic on setting up Terminal Services. Here is what Microsoft says: Installing programs on a terminal server
Finally, you may need to restart the restart the Windows Print Spooler Service after the installation if it does not work properly right away. Occasionally, the Print Spooler Service will not recognize the new printer after it is installed, but restarting the service will fix that. The Services Control Panel is available through the "Administrative Tools" in the Control Panel. Here is a screenshot: To remove PDF reDirect, it is best if you perform a remove through the "Add/Remove Software" control panel so that the removal propagates to all the users. If you still have any items that are left over like entries in the Start Menu, you can try the following:
If the printer is still in the printer list, and the uninstall program was deleted, you can try removing the printer manually by simply deleting it. I hope that helps! Edited by Michel_K17 |
