Topic: Add Batch Printer Error

I recently purchased PDF reDirect v2 and I have been trying to create a batch printer. When I go to preferences and click on batch printer, I can click add to add a new printer. But after naming the printer, I get the following error:

Sorry. PDF Batch Printer could not be added. There was an error.

I'm totally stuck and I need to get this project rolling. Can anyone help.

Dear k,

I am sorry to hear of the problem. I would check your user permissions first: do you have the administrative rights to install printers?

If you do, then the problem is elsewhere, and we need to find out what the error message is.

I can suggest you "record" an error log and send it to me so that I can see where the error is occurring, and hopefully why. This is how it is done:

Start PDF reDirect (manually, or through the "Print" command)
Click on the green "Preferences" button
Select "Generate Log Files"
Click "OK" to save your setting
Try to generate a Batch Printer again until the error occurs.
Return to the "General" tab
Click on the "View Log File" button
Copy and paste the error log in an e-mail back to me.
You can turn the error logging back OFF.

Hopefully I can make some sense of what is going on by looking at the log.
