I receive an error 3000 when installing PDF Redirect on a Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 PC. The Adobe Reader version installed on the PC is 6.0.2. The error log is included below. Please let me know what to do to get past this error.

Thank you for your assistance.

There are two possible causes and fixes to this problem.
  1. Trying to use the "Windows NT" installation program on a "Windows 2000" or "XP" machine. Please ensure you use the normal installation program which will work with Windows 95 / 98 / ME / 2000 / XP. You can download it from [ http://www.exp-systems.com/PDFreDirect/Download/Install PDFR.exe - here (freeware version) ] or [ http://www.exp-systems.com/PDFreDirect/Download/Install PDFR Pro.exe - here (Pro version) ]

  2. A genuine but rare problem that can occur on Windows 2000 or XP machines. This problem is due to how the System environment variable is encoded on your machine. The installation program has been fixed in v2.0.18 of the program which you can download [ http://www.exp-systems.com/PDFreDirect/Download/Install_PDFR_v2018.exe - here (freeware version) ] or [ http://www.exp-systems.com/PDFreDirect/Download/Install_PDFR_Pro_v2018.exe - here (Pro version) ]

Hi there,

I dropped Windows NT support with the release of v2.1. Sorry: the extra effort was no longer worth it: I had two Windows NT orders in 2003, one in 2004 and zero in 2005.

However, you can use the older PDF reDirect v2.0 with Windows NT. You can download v2.0 (Windows NT Only) at the following links:

PDF reDirect [ http://www.exp-systems.com/PDFreDirect/Download/Install_PDFR_NT_v2016.exe - here ].

PDF reDirect Pro [ http://www.exp-systems.com/PDFreDirect/Download/Install_PDFR_Pro_NT_v2016.exe - here ].

   Cheers!

Michel
