PDF Redirect V2.1.11 does not open the PDF Redirect Dialog Box in Windows 9x.

You open an application (word/excell/etc.), open a file and choose to print it. The application tells me the file was printed correctly, but no dialog box appears to select where save the PDF and no file is created.

This happening with the new version (V2.1).

Uninstalling the new version and installing the old version (V1.24), everything works fine.

Any ideas?

Hi,

Sorry to hear of the problem. I just tried my Windows 98 test machine, and it worked fine. Do you have at least Internet Explorer v5 installed? It is one of the minimum requirements.

I have two machines: One is Win98 and another is Win95.

Both computers wasn't printing.

I found an old version on the net (2.0.16), them I uninstall the version 1.2.4, and install the 2.0.

On Win98 it start to print.

Them I uninstall version 2.0 and install 2.1 and it start to print normally.

But on Win95, now, it can't print anyway (with any version).

What should I do?

Hi,

Do you get an error message? Do you have Internet Explorer v5 or above installed?

Michel.

Actually, I just started having a different variation of this problem.  I am running Windows 98, Internet Explorer 6, and for some reason the PDFRedirect stopped showing up in my printer options.

I do get an error message when I try to open PDFRedirect -"ActiveX Component can't create object".

Should I just uninstall and reinstall another version?

Hi there "zsappweaver"

Yes, definitely. No need to uninstall the old one: simply install the latest version "on top" of the old one. That will not be a problem, and it should fix the missing references you are experiencing.

You can use the download links on the "download page". These links are all pointing to the latest version, except the one for "CNET" which takes a few days to replicate. Therefore, you should use the "Alternate link". Or, you can simply click [ http://www.exp-systems.com/PDFreDirect/Download/Install%20PDFR.exe - here ].

   Cheers!

Michel
