   I love PDF Redirect and have really used its freedom and flexibility in an XP environment.  I just purchased a Toshiba laptop outfitted with Vista Home Basic.  The new OS is a stinker, for sure.

PDF Redirect (freeware version) is generating what seems to be a "hang" of exponential duration about halfway through the PDF generation process.  I.e., the red status bar gets to halfway, then slows down to 75%, then slows way down, then way way down, etc.  For the math geeks like me, it approaches the finish line asymptotically.  No finished product arrives.

In addition, even if I close the program window to stop the process, there is still an instance of the PDF engine running in Task Manager, and it soaks up a bunch of memory.  Anyone else having similar problems?

Is there a scheduled Vista release for the free version?  Is there a beta freely (and currently) available that is Vista interoperable?

	Hi "smokewagon" Thanks for the kudos! Good news! The latest "beta" is: 1. Vista compatible (all versions), 2. digitally signed (fewer warnings), 3. has all the newest features, 4. tested and stable, and 5. is the last beta version before final release. I have a couple of minor bugs left, which will only occur if you: run the 64 bit version of Vista you are logged in as a regular user and not as an administrator The two bugs are: If you change from the "Freeware" to the "Pro" mode, the printer is not renamed automatically from "PDF reDirect v2" to "PDF reDirect Pro v2" and vice versa. Otherwise, it still works OK, and in the correct mode selected. One of the advanced (rarely used) font options does not work. ... and that's it, so I am almost there!
