Word 2007 fix - White box problem Printed From: www.exp-systems.com Category: PDF reDirect Forum Name: Using PDF reDirect Forum Discription: Questions and Comments on using PDF reDirect Freeware and Pro URL: http://www.exp-systems.com/Forum_exp/forum_posts.asp?TID=577 Printed Date: 22 Nov 24 at 1:50PM Topic: Word 2007 fix - White box problem Posted By: Michel_K17 Subject: Word 2007 fix - White box problem Date Posted: 07 Feb 10 at 11:25PM Hi,    Occasionally, when creating a PDF from Word 2007, parts of the PDF output will be blanked out as though part of the page is covered by a white box.    After some troubleshooting with a couple of users, we have confirmed that the problem does not occur with older versions of Word (2000, 2003) and is limited to Word 2007 (no matter which version of Windows).    The fix is to: open the printer control panel, right-click on the PDF reDirect printer and choose "properties" on Windows XP, or "Printing Preferences" in Vista/Win7 Click the "Advanced" button Change "Print Quality" from 600 to 300 dpi    Once you make this change, the problem has disappeared for all the files we tested.    I hope that helps anyone else who has experienced this problem. ------------- Michel Korwin-Szymanowski EXP Systems LLC
