I decided to try for the first time PDF reDirect Free v2.2.5 Official Release. I got off to a bad start because the first page I tried, I could not get the rotation of the page right.

The automatic page rotation rotated the page 90 degrees clockwise. The page should not be rotated at all. I can not get the page unrotated using the page rotation option:

Page rotation                     Result
--------------------------------------------------------------
Automatic                         90 degrees clockwise
90 degrees clockwise              90 degrees clockwise
180 degrees (upside down)         180 degrees (upside down)
90 degrees counter-clockwise      90 degrees counter-clockwise

How can I get my page unrotated?

I tried to create a pdf file of a page of a comic book created by a comic book creator program. Pages of other comic books created by the same program and very similar to the first one I tested did not rotate wrongly.

Hi Carl,

I recently had the same snag as well. When I programmed PDF reDirect, I had not thought that the "automatic" feature might cause the page to appear incorrect in a manner that the way to fix it would be to set it to zero degrees.

The way the "automatic" feature works is that it looks for text on the pagem and then it rotates the page to ensure that the majority of the text is vertical.

Anyway, I have v2.2.6 which is nearly completed that adds an extra rotation option. I have not released it yet as it is not quite complete, but it is currently in a state that I can send you a copy if you'd like.

Just send me an e-mail at exp [at] exp-systems [dot] com and I'll send you the link. I am doing a few other changes today, and, as they are started, I'll be able to send you the copy late today.

I hope that will fix the problem for you,.
