Hello:

Not only did I just install it, but, I got it to work properly, without any problem.  Then I had to explain it to the man in my life-that was a problem. LOL  No, not really!
I am an over 70 year old lady trying to work this out.  Now my question (that you all probably know the answer for.)
I downloaded seven pictures to PDF reDirect.  All this worked fine. I wanted to add some text about the pictures but was not able to figure that out.  Can I do this? Or do I have to put the pictures in Word or something else to write on them?
Please go easy in your reply-70+ year olds are a little brain dead to start with.
Betty

Hello Betty,

Congratulations: you are definitely on the right track! Smile  I would definitely use Word to compose your document (sounds like a mix of pictures and text), and set it up to your heart's content. When it is just the way you want it, print it using the PDF ReDirect printer to create the PDF that you want.

PDF reDirect works just like a printer (that creates PDF documents rather than printing to a physical piece of paper), so the document creation is still done in other programs such as Microsoft Word.

So, you are from Sweden? Abba's "Mamma Mia" broadway musical finally arrived in our little town in the middle of the United States. It was a lot of fun!

Anyway, I hope my instructions helped, but let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks so much for your answer.  Good to know I was on the right track.
If Abba gets out of the courts you should see Kristina appearing on Broadway.  If not, read Vilhelm Mobergs books!(same story)
Thanks again
Betty

I have had great success using PDF Redirect with Windows XP.  My new laptop has Vista.  After executing "Print" I am able to identify a filename, but the printing does not complete.  Is there a work around?

Hi "yellowjacket"

Glad to hear of your good experience with PDF reDirect! Smile

The current version of PDF reDirect is indeed not compatible with Windows Vista, but I do have good news because the latest "beta" is:

       1. Vista compatible (all versions),
       2. digitally signed (fewer warnings),
       3. has all the newest features,
       4. tested and stable, and
       5. is the last beta version before final release.

I have a couple of minor bugs left, which will only occur if you:
  1. run the 64 bit version of Vista
  2. you are logged in as a regular user and not as an administrator
    The two bugs are:
  1. If you change from the "Freeware" to the "Pro" mode, the printer is not renamed automatically from "PDF reDirect v2" to "PDF reDirect Pro v2" and vice versa. Otherwise, it still works OK, and in the correct mode selected.
  2. One of the advanced (rarely used) font options does not work.
... and that's it, so I am almost there! You can download this version (v2.1.911) from the forum on the beta versions here:

Let me know if you have any questions. Cheers!
