Topic: true type fonts (Roman Simplex) Posted: 21 Oct 08 at 4:22PM |
I am attempting to convert an Acad 2005 drawing and am having troubles with my fonts going screwy. I have attempted to adjust the TrueType Font Download to "Automatic" and even have tried several other options but to no avail. Any suggestions?

Hi Keith,
"Outline" usually works best. There are a couple of settings that might help. One is embed the Truetype fonts as they are. By default, they are normally converted to Postscript Type 1 Fonts. Most fonts convert well, but there are exceptions that might explain the problems. The other is to try embedding the entire fonts. What I recommend is that you activate the "Pro" version just so that you can change the settings. Just click the "Promo" button, then the "Activate Now" button. then it's Preferences >> Properties and there, you will see the font settings. Try the last checkbox 1st (the conversion one). After you are done with trying this out, you can retun back to the "Freeware" mode via the Preferences >> General >> Startup Mode. I hope that helps. Cheers! |

Michel,
Found out what is going on. It was not your stuff but on the other end. Inside Autocad there is a Plot Style Table Editor menufor pen assigments; under it are two options (Line end style & Line join style) both need to be set to "Use object end/join style" accord to which one you are setting.
Thanks for the input,
